AGGIE JUMP START PROGRAM

The Aggie Jumpstart program is designed to assist students to prepare for success in college level English and mathematics. The two-week program will encompass a skills enhancement program for first-time freshmen. NMSU faculty will provide instruction to augment student academic preparedness for the English and mathematics courses. The program is also designed to acclimate students to the New Mexico State University campus through a cohort model that will provide students with a co-curricular and residential based experience prior to the start of the fall semester.

The Aggie Jump Start Program will give students a jump start on:
  • Strengthening your essential math, English, and writing skills
  • Enhancing your college readiness skills
  • Meeting other students and making new friends while participating in campus and community events
  • Preparing for internships and careers
  • Living on-campus
